Our President’s Deafening Silence

In addition to acknowledging the existence of evil and wars, President Obama in his Nobel Prize acceptance speech also called for universal peace among the nations. He stated, “I believe that peace is unstable where citizens are denied the right to speak freely or worship as they please.” I’m confident he wasn’t referring to the United States; however, his statement does reflect the growing impact of political correctness within our own borders.

He went on to scold “those who have distorted and defiled the great religion of Islam…these extremists are not the first to kill in the name of God; the cruelties of the Crusades are amply recorded.” These statements are disingenuous, misleading and in fact inaccurate. Islam denies the deity of Christ and further claims Mohammad superseded Him. Therefore, it is unthinkable that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob would classify Islam as a great religion, but rather would condemn it as a false religion which breaks the first commandment.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3

Secondly, history confirms that the Crusades were a defensive effort to halt Islamic Jihad across Europe into Spain, certainly not an offensive action justifying killing in the name of God. Mr. Obama fails to recognize 9-11 signaled the resurgence of Islam’s global imperialistic effort.

President Obama went on to state, “…they remind us that no Holy War can ever be a just war.” Really Mr. President?

“Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits…which go out to the kings of the earth…to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty…to the place called… Armageddon.”
Revelation 16:12-16

At this time all false religions are judged, i.e. a holy war.

“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, ‘come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication’…and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy…The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations…and on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Revelation 17:1-5

The great harlot encompasses all false religions which God will destroy at the hand of the future satanic leader which the Bible labels ‘the beast.’

“The ten horns…are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast…these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.”
Revelation 17:12-13, 16-17

But, what was it about the president’s speech that could be deemed the ‘deafening silence’? Simply this, the name ‘Israel’ was not found once in his speech! How could any professing Christian, or in fact anyone who has read a history book give a speech about world peace and not mention Israel? The war of wars of the future is over Israel and Jerusalem! All the other nations exist to fulfill God’s plan for Israel. Israel is, always has been, and always will be the Apple of God’s eye.

“Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land…and one king shall be king over them all…David (David’s offspring, i.e. Christ) My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there…forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them…and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore…The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.’”
Ezekiel 37:21-28

That is God’s unalterable plan.

The irony is that the above scripture is as succinct as possible and is one of the major themes in the Bible. What would have been the response if Mr. Obama had read that scripture as part of his acceptance speech of the Nobel peace prize? What can be expected for a nation that blatantly ignores God and His word?

President Obama ended his speech with the words, “We can understand that there will be war, and still strive for peace. We can do that – for that is the story of human progress; that is the hope of all the world; and at this moment of challenge, that must be our work here on earth.”

Mr. Obama, your very own Bible outlines the future of the nations very clearly. According to the Bible we should be aligning our foreign policy efforts towards befriending and protecting Israel because the day is quickly approaching when she will be at the center of all nations of the earth once again.

Israel’s history has already been written, therefore, “…that must be our work here on earth.” ‘Deafening Silence’ is not an option.
