Walt Thrun

Walt Thrun received his education at California State University. His degrees include an MBA with multiple majors ranging from Finance to Production/Operations Management.

Before entering industry, he flew commercially for a small freight carrier in Southern California.

He subsequently served in the industrial sector for two decades with such companies as J.I. Case, Anaconda Wire and Cable Company, and Pepsi-Co Inc. His positions ranged from Controller to Operations Manager.

During his tenure in industry he was published in several trade periodicals ranging from Journal of Industrial Engineering to Management Accounting.

His next adventure consisted of launching a small business in the home entertainment industry which grew to five outlets in five years.

Then he made the transition to teaching where he served as Assistant Professor for fifteen years at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

During his time in academia he published two technical books relative to the theory of constraints in a manufacturing environment.

Upon his retirement in 2005, he assumed management of his commercial pecan orchard. During this time he has written numerous articles for Pecan South magazine.

Walt became a Christian at the age of 34. Since that time he has taught Bible for more than four decades. In the past three years he has written three books in that genre which are described on this web site. He has also published more than 500 newspaper columns relating current events to Scripture during the past decade.

Walt is a veteran of the USMC and presently serves as a volunteer pastor at a veterans’ center.
